About The Position

Your Mission
Our Central Technology group is looking for a graphics expert to join the team as a Senior Expert Engineer. The Senior Expert Engineer will work with Activision's worldwide studios to improve the visual quality and performance of our titles. The role includes exciting opportunities to be at the forefront of research and development on stellar franchises such as "Call of Duty"!
What you bring to the table
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

Requirements

• Must possess exceptional expertise (both broad and deep) of real-time graphics
• Ability to effectively disseminate pertinent information across different functional groups within the organization
• Must have shipped at least 3 console/PC titles, preferably AAA
• Extensive experience with real-time graphics APIs and console/PC hardware
• Outstanding ability in optimization, debugging and software architecture
• 10+ years of experience with C/C++ and relevant shading languages
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years in working on tools or titles for the current generation of consoles or PC

Responsibilities

• Investigate new research and development in the field and guide studios on potentially applicable advances
• Implement prototypes of innovative graphics technologies, tools, and workflows
• Work with studios to plan and implement integration of new features and technologies into production engines and pipelines
• Identify key innovations and associated risks sufficiently early to allow adequate time for prototyping, implementation and polish
• Work with first parties to help ensure the best possible performance from their graphics APIs
• Collate, author, and maintain Technical Design Documents
• Demonstrate an understanding of the importance for both ambition and conservatism when developing video games
