About The Position

The Senior Experimentation Specialist at Alaska Airlines is a key individual contributor responsible for leading digital experimentation efforts. Requirements

  • 4 years of experience in AB testing, computer science, analytics, quantitative sciences, or a related area.
  • Bachelor's degree in UX design, psychology, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline, or 2 additional years of relevant training/experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and databases (Databricks, SQL, python, Alteryx).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Experience in the airline industry.
  • Intermediate skills in presenting data-driven strategic insights using visualization tools (Tableau).
  • Advanced knowledge of experimentation design and tools (AB, MVT, Multi-Armed Bandit; CSS, HTML; Optimizely).

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a subject matter expert in experimentation across the company.
  • Develops solutions to complex problems with minimal direction, including designing studies with clear definitions of success.
  • Makes recommendations to improve Alaska's product merchandising and design based on deep knowledge of revenue products.
  • Curates and delivers comprehensive training content to stakeholders to standardize experimentation processes.
  • Participates in regular reporting and business review meetings to track program performance with commercial stakeholders.
  • Monitors industry trends in digital experimentation and applies cutting-edge methods in tests across digital platforms.
  • Works with teams to scale experiments, scope requirements, and resolve blockers.
  • Utilizes strong technological skills, including testing tools, computer languages, querying tools, and presentation tools to conduct experiments and analysis.
  • Mentors experimentation specialists and makes recommendations to improve the experimentation program.
