Requirements

  • 15+ years relevant business and leadership experience in compliance and risk management.
  • 15+ years leadership and management experience leading complex global and matrixed teams.
  • Graduate degree from business school/university degree preferred.
  • Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) required, or can be obtained one year from hire date.
  • Proven experience in building, revitalizing, and optimizing compliance programs.
  • Experience with Risk Management frameworks such as COSO ERM, ISO 31000.
  • Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) applications.
  • Prior experience interfacing and executing at C-suite level preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years experience in strategic visioning and planning.
  • Proven ability to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English required; multi-lingual capability would be useful.
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and presentation.
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day, global operations of the Global Compliance Program.
  • Develop an effective Compliance and Ethics Program framework.
  • Ensure collaboration between regional and global Compliance resources.
  • Create compliance policies and procedures for Samaritans Purse and its affiliates.
  • Review, update, and provide counsel on employee handbooks and governance documents.
  • Align fraud risk assessments with Internal Audit programming.
  • Drive enterprise risk management responsibilities into regional and individual departments.
  • Oversee independent monitoring and auditing of internal compliance policies.
  • Provide guidance, advice, and training/education programs on compliance.
  • Interact with regulators on compliance issues.
  • Provide written reports of activities and investigations to management.
