Join SPS Commerce and be part of a dynamic team that's transforming the global retail supply chain! Position Summary: Senior Executive Assistant to the Chief Marketing Officer Marketing at SPS Commerce is evolving — and this is your chance to be part of something big. As our business scales and our global reach expands, we’re building a marketing organization that does more than create awareness — we drive demand, deepen relationships, and deliver measurable impact across every stage of the customer journey. We’ve reimagined how we work, combining functional expertise with deep customer insight. Our team is structured around key areas like Brand, Demand Generation, and Product Marketing, and we collaborate through cross-functional pods aligned to distinct customer segments. The Role This is not a traditional Executive Assistant role. As the Senior Executive Assistant to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will operate as a strategic partner and force multiplier — ensuring the CMO’s time, focus, and energy are aligned to the highest-impact work. You’ll serve as an extension of the CMO, acting as the connective tissue across the marketing organization and broader leadership team. You are the eyes and ears of the office — stepping in with confidence, driving alignment, and moving work forward even when direction is limited. This role requires sound judgment, strong presence, and the ability to influence outcomes in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment. You are also highly tech-forward — constantly looking for ways to leverage AI and modern tools to simplify workflows, increase efficiency, and elevate how the business operates.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience supporting senior leaders (VP+; C-suite experience strongly preferred)
  • Proven ability to operate proactively and independently in a high-performance environment
  • Strong executive presence and confidence interacting with senior leaders
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills, even with ambiguity or limited direction
  • Exceptional organizational skills paired with the ability to prioritize what truly matters
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and drive outcomes across teams
  • High level of technical fluency, with curiosity and hands-on experience using AI tools, automation, and modern workplace technologies
  • A mindset of continuous improvement — always looking for smarter, more efficient ways to work
  • A calm, steady, and solutions-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

  • Own and strategically manage a complex, ever-changing executive calendar — making trade-offs that reflect business priorities
  • Anticipate needs, remove friction, and proactively solve problems before they surface
  • Act as a gatekeeper and facilitator — ensuring the right conversations happen at the right time with the right people
  • Drive follow-through on key initiatives by tracking commitments, pushing stakeholders, and ensuring accountability
  • Prepare high-quality materials, briefings, and communications that enable effective decision-making
  • Coordinate leadership meetings, offsites, and travel with precision and intention
  • Partner across teams and leaders to maintain alignment, momentum, and clarity
  • Leverage AI and emerging technologies (e.g., automation tools, meeting intelligence, workflow optimization) to streamline processes and enhance executive effectiveness
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve how work gets done through smarter use of technology
  • Handle sensitive information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism
