About The Position

The Senior Specialist, Events Management is responsible for providing consultation on the development, communication and implementation of corporate client events and conferences that support the business strategy to grow revenue, market share and client satisfaction. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years related experience.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Strong sense of accountability and keen attention to detail.
• Solid relationship management and networking skills.
• Proactive in planning and organizing.
• Strong technical, creative and innovative thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and management of events, including research and making recommendations, contract negotiation, budgeting, financial reconciliation, and conference management.
• Apply a comprehensive, conceptual and practical understanding of the organization and delivery of events and conferences to a wide range of business and technical situations.
• Solve business, operational, and technical problems within the scope of their job, and forms improvement recommendations to ensure CIBC corporate events meet all business unit and senior management objectives.
