About The Position

The Signia by Hilton Atlanta is looking for its next Senior Event Manager! Located in the heart of Atlanta, Signia by Hilton Atlanta offers a world-class environment for meetings and events with exceptional service and premium amenities. In this role, you would be one of 5 senior event managers reporting to the director and assistant director of events! You would handle groups of 300 - 900 guests. The ideal candidate for this position will possess three years of event experience minimum, at a "big box" hotel (500+ rooms, 50,000+ square feet of meeting space) of Hilton or luxury brand! What will I be doing? As Senior Event Manager, you will be responsible for event documentation and coordination with Sales, hotel departments, and customers to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases. You will primarily handle complex events and ensure a seamless transition from sales to service and back to sales. You will also identify opportunities to maximize revenue through upselling and offering enhancements to create exceptional guest experiences. In this role, you may also support and act on behalf of the Director of Catering and Events. What are we looking for? Requirements

  • The ideal candidate for this position will possess three years of event experience minimum, at a "big box" hotel (500+ rooms, 50,000+ square feet of meeting space) of Hilton or luxury brand!

Responsibilities

  • Organize, plan, and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals.
  • Communicate in a timely manner with internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents, or in person.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to set and meet expectations, delivering high-quality service.
  • Demonstrate expertise in job systems, products, processes, and industry knowledge.
  • Resolve conflicts and negotiate solutions while handling complaints, settling disputes, and managing grievances.
  • Sell and influence both internal and external clients to enhance event experiences.
  • Analyze and evaluate issues to make decisions and solve problems effectively.
  • Ensure high-quality service by communicating guest needs to others, providing direction, guidance, feedback, and individual coaching as needed.
  • Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process when required.
  • Perform additional duties based on business needs.
