Placed right in the heart of the action the New York Hilton Midtown is looking for its next Temporary Senior Event Experience Manager! This hotel offers 1,878 elegantly appointed guestrooms and an impressive 150,000 square feet of versatile event space. With 49 meeting rooms, including the largest ballroom spanning 21,673 square feet, it’s an ideal destination for conferences, conventions, and upscale gatherings in the heart of Manhattan. Our ideal candidate is an experienced hotel event professional with a minimum of two years of event planning and execution experience, including a proven track record of managing large‑scale programs of 500+ attendees for notable, high‑profile clients. They excel at overseeing multifaceted events, anticipating client needs, and coordinating cross‑departmental efforts with precision. Experience working within union properties or unionized environments is essential. They thrive in fast‑paced, high‑stakes settings, demonstrate exceptional communication and organizational skills, and consistently deliver elevated event experiences that align with both client expectations and hotel standards.

Requirements

  • Experienced hotel event professional
  • Minimum of two years of event planning and execution experience

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the successful execution of written sales & catering agreements for large-scale and complex full-service meetings, conventions, and events, as well as execution of all-sized room blocks, catering events, and events as assigned.
  • Maintains liaison between the customer and their representatives and the Hotel by directing each hotel department as to their specific role in the pre-planning and execution on-site.
  • Maximizes revenues and controls expenses through effective negotiation of prices, services, upselling, and accurate forecasting.
  • Responsible for the direction of all catered events in partnership with Event Operations staff.
  • Responsible for the successful execution of the event and customer satisfaction to ensure the customer remains loyal and books future business with the hotel/company.
