About The Position

We’re currently looking for an experienced, sharp, and strategic Senior Estimator to join our Preconstruction team. This is a key role for someone who brings depth, leadership, and insight to the table — and who’s excited to help shape the way we win work. What You’ll Be Doing As a Senior Estimator, you’ll play a vital role during the design and pursuit phases of our most exciting and complex projects — often valued at $25M to $100M+. You’ll lead multiple estimates simultaneously, provide guidance to junior team members, and collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners. You’ll also help shape strategy, manage risk, and ensure every pursuit we engage in is set up for success.

Requirements

10–20+ years of experience in commercial construction, including 3–5 years in a senior estimating role
Experience managing estimating efforts for large, complex, multi-phase projects
Confidence leading multiple concurrent preconstruction efforts
A solid grasp of conceptual budgeting, scheduling logic, and risk analysis
Familiarity with MS Project, On-Screen Takeoff, and other estimating software
Deep knowledge of MEPF systems and how to build ground-up and tenant improvement projects
Strong communication and presentation skills with both internal teams and clients
A collaborative, coaching-oriented leadership style

Nice To Haves

Have a strong network of trusted trade partners and A/E consultants
Are experienced in Design-Build, Target Value Design, or Lean construction practices
Have led preconstruction for Life Sciences, Healthcare, or Lab/Technical projects
Stay involved in industry groups or peer networks

Responsibilities

Leading estimating efforts across multiple pursuits at once — with minimal oversight
Assembling and presenting conceptual and detailed estimates across different markets and project types
Strategically developing proposals, including client-facing estimate presentations and value engineering options
Mentoring and coaching Estimators and Junior Estimators across their technical and strategic growth
Performing in-depth drawing/spec reviews, identifying scope gaps, and leading bid day strategy
Building and maintaining strong relationships with trade partners and clients alike
Supporting procurement planning, pre-bid schedules, and preconstruction strategy
Being the go-to for unit costs, scope understanding, bid forms, and estimate reviews
Providing feedback on market conditions, escalation, material lead times, and construction trends
