About The Position

Senior Estimator - National Multi-Family Construction Our client, a leading company in the construction industry, is looking to hire a Senior Estimator. The Senior Estimator will play a crucial role in the company, preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for multifamily construction projects, managing the bidding process, and negotiating contracts with subcontractors.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field desired.
5+ years of experience as a project estimator in the commercial construction industry with multifamily experience strongly desired.
3+ years in a supervisor role managing others.
Demonstrated ability to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
And other qualifications as specified in the job description.

Responsibilities

Prepare a WBS and written scopes of work by reviewing projects, breaking subsections out by division, and writing scopes to propose for bids.
Generate ROM level pricing packages as well as fully estimated project budgets using takeoffs and cost data.
Manage and facilitate the project RFP by creating a WBS and Bid Packages with assigned cost codes.
Minimize scope gaps and overlaps, in estimated budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications for commercial multifamily and residential construction projects, which may include retail space.
And other duties as assigned by supervisor.
