About The Position

The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects, including highways, bridges, tunnels, and other infrastructure works. This role requires a deep understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in estimating for heavy civil construction projects.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., HCSS, Bluebeam, PlanSwift).
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in estimating.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and constraints.
Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
Develop and maintain a database of historical cost data and unit prices.
Prepare and present cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals to clients and management.
Identify potential risks and opportunities in project estimates and provide recommendations for mitigation.
Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
Monitor and track project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in construction technology
