About The Position

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to support large-scale, high-value data center construction projects. This role is ideal for professionals with deep experience in cost estimating and a strong understanding of the complexities involved in delivering mission-critical facilities. To be successful in this role you must have great communication skills and be comfortable operating in a client-facing role. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
6+ years of experience in estimating, preferably on large-scale or mission-critical projects.
Strong understanding of CSA scopes and general construction systems for data centers.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools such as Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, CostX, and familiarity with industry-specific estimating platforms.
Strong knowledge of cost planning principles, lifecycle costing, and pre-construction services.
Experience with budgeting, bid analysis, and procurement processes.
Ability to interpret complex technical documents and provide clear cost insights to stakeholders.
Familiarity with contract administration and compliance standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities for client and contractor engagement.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed estimates for large-scale data center projects across civil, structural, architectural (CSA) scopes, and related systems.
Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and technical documents to develop accurate cost projections.
Develop and maintain cost databases and benchmarking for construction systems.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment on scope, budget, and schedule.
Conduct risk assessments and value engineering to optimize project costs.
Support bid evaluations and provide recommendations based on cost analysis.
Prepare cost reports and present findings to internal teams and clients.
Monitor market trends, pricing, and emerging technologies in construction.
Assist in developing procurement strategies and contractor selection.
Ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices.
Perform quantity take-offs and validate subcontractor proposals for accuracy and completeness.
Participate in design reviews to provide input on cost implications and constructability.
Identify potential cost-saving opportunities through alternative materials or methods.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to stay informed on pricing and availability.
SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
