At Moss Utilities, we specialize in underground utilities installations across the DFW Metroplex. Our project experience includes commercial, single-family residential, multi-family residential, and public works infrastructure. Senior Estimator Position Overview A Senior Estimator should have heavy civil construction skills and an experience in estimating commercial & private development projects. Ideally, will have experience with wet utilities construction that includes water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, concrete structures, duct bank, etc.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred (Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar)
• 5+ years heavy civil estimating
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

Nice To Haves

• HCSS/Planswift/Bluebeam Experience Preferred
• Strong organization and planning skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines

Responsibilities

• Estimating self-performed projects which typically range up to 20 million dollars; including pricing labor, equipment, and material costs.
• Working knowledge of construction assemblies and all project phases.
• Ability to produce detailed, accurate estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings.
• Ability to assess site exposures/construction risks and be able to appropriately analyze cost and reflect these in an estimate.
• Identify constructability issues through the estimating process.
• Identify and propose value-engineering alternatives.
