About The Position

The Senior Estimator supports the project management team achieve its goals by delivering high quality estimates on time. The Senior Estimator is in charge of developing and completing project specific estimates based on written and/or oral discretion from Project Managers. The ideal candidate will supervise and direct the Estimating team on the timely completion of electrical estimates. This role will provide leadership to team members including Estimators, Estimator Trainees, and others, and lead estimating system training.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; BA/BS preferred.
• Seven (7) years of experience in electrical estimating in commercial/industrial/high tech industry.
• Five (5) years' experience with a design/build contractor.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail ensuring accuracy in work.

Responsibilities

• Create and communicate company standards for estimating electrical design/build and plans and specs work.
• May create, maintain and upgrade the company estimating system, database (units and prices) and assemblies.
• Communicate and partner with project managers and general contractors to ensure a high-quality estimate is delivered on time.
• Manage quotation process with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that pricing incorporates all scope items.
