About The Position

The Senior Estimator plays a key role in shaping the projects Uprite Construction pursues and delivers. You will lead the estimating process for a variety of commercial projects, from conceptual budgets to hard bids. This position is perfect for someone who thrives on collaboration, has a sharp eye for detail, and can turn complex drawings into accurate numbers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial construction
• Strong knowledge of building systems, assemblies, and trade sequencing
• Proven ability to prepare accurate, detailed estimates under tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Advanced proficiency in estimating and takeoff software
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of detailed estimates for projects of various sizes and types
• Review plans and specifications to understand project scope and risks
• Develop conceptual and schematic budgets during early project phases
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors
• Lead bid day efforts, including scope reviews and final pricing strategy
• Mentor and guide junior estimators and interns
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and leadership to align budgets with project goals
• Continuously track cost trends, market conditions, and labor availability
