About The Position
The position involves reviewing project specifications, plans, and Geotech Reports, attending pre-bid meetings, and determining site conditions through site visits. The candidate will identify self-performed and subcontracted scopes of work, solicit subcontractors and material suppliers, and develop bid packages for various scopes of work. Proficiency in preparing estimates using Heavy Bid (HCSS) estimating software is required, along with entering subcontractor and material supplier quotes and conducting bid reviews with the Chief Estimator and Management Team prior to bid day. The role requires timely decision-making and the ability to close out bids and submit owner/agency bid documents under the direction of the Chief Estimator.
