About The Position

The Senior Estate Strategist - High Net Worth at Edward Jones is a pivotal role within the Wealth Management Advice and Solutions (WMAS) division, focusing on providing comprehensive estate planning and financial advice to high-net-worth clients. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in financial planning and a deep understanding of the Financial Advisor role. The strategist will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver tailored estate planning solutions, ensuring clients' financial goals are met through effective implementation of complex strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Law required.
  • Advanced degree (such as JD) required.
  • Series 7 and 66 required within 6 months of hire.
  • Insurance license required within 6 months of hire.
  • CFP® preferred or obtained in accordance with firm policy.
  • 11+ years of experience in the financial services industry preferred.
  • Direct client service experience as a member of a HNW client-facing professional team required.
  • Understanding of Financial Advisor and Branch Team Support Member(s) processes.
  • Ability to interpret and leverage firm advice and guidance for tailored client solutions.
  • Proficiency using financial planning software or tools.
  • Deep understanding of financial planning concepts and application.
  • Deep expertise in complex estate planning strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an estate planning expert in partnership with the lead planner and financial advisor to uncover, understand, and articulate client estate and legacy goals.
  • Partner with various internal stakeholders and service providers to bring forward holistic strategies and solutions to meet client goals.
  • Leverage relationships with external 3rd party service providers to implement estate planning strategies.
  • Utilize the firm's financial planning tools to help clients define their financial goals and monitor progress.
  • Review High Net Worth client estate planning documents and identify opportunities for strategy implementation.
  • Translate complex planning strategies into understandable terms for clients, including education on trade-offs.
