About The Position

Vanguard is hiring a Senior ESG Reporting Lead who will be responsible for overseeing and managing Vanguard's global ESG reporting processes. This role requires a strong ability to deal with ambiguity, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
• MS/MBA highly preferred or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a reporting environment.
• Proven project management experience, with a track record of successfully managing complex projects.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with ESG reporting standards and frameworks, or ability to quickly learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with reporting software.
• Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external clients.
• Ability to interact effectively with senior management as well as various levels of staff and management across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of Vanguard's global ESG reporting strategy, including the preparation of annual sustainability reports, disclosures, and other relevant documentation.
• Manage ESG reporting projects from inception to completion, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within scope.
• Oversee the collection, validation, and analysis of ESG data from various departments. Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, regulators, and industry groups, to communicate Vanguard's ESG performance and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant ESG reporting standards and frameworks, such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, and others.
• Identify opportunities for improving ESG reporting processes and implement best practices.
