About The Position

The Senior Escrow Officer is responsible for handling of all escrow related functions involved in commercial real estate transactions, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing of real estate or mortgage transactions sufficient for the title insurer to issue title insurance policies to the buyer and lender. This role ensures that escrow closings and required documentation meet regulatory, investor, and company standards while working closely with a team of title officers, assistants, funders, and post-closing staff.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
  • Minimum 5 years in escrow, mortgage closing, or post-closing operations.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of escrow procedures, title insurance, and post-closing documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient in escrow or loan origination systems (e.g., SoftPro, Encompass, ResWare).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership, team-building, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with all parties on commercial real estate transactions including buyers, sellers, lenders, and their representatives including attorneys and brokers.
  • Work closely with a team of title officers, assistants, funders, and post-closing staff to handle transaction from start to closing.
  • Work within the closing process, ensuring accurate recording, funding, disbursement, document packaging, and delivery to investors or title companies, and all other functions sufficient for the title insurer to issue title insurance policies to the buyer and lender.
  • Review and ensure accuracy and completeness of closing documents and escrow files.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as underwriting, funding, and compliance to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Address and resolve escalated client, lender, or partner concerns related to escrow or post-closing.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement new procedures or technologies.
  • Generate and analyze reports on departmental productivity, errors, and post-closing audits.
