Requirements

  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in a related discipline (e.g., business, supply chain, engineering) preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Advanced knowledge and application of tools and equipment.
  • Aptitude and desire for corporate responsibility, integrity and business practices, and ethical decision making.
  • Ability to make important financial decisions.
  • Intermediate knowledge of construction and contract.
  • Strong understanding and application of applicable laws and government regulations as they apply to equipment supply and management.
  • Familiarity with Canada/US customs acts is an asset.
  • Strong proficiency with E1 equipment management software.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct equipment and tool support to customers.
  • Recommends best solutions to maximize equipment utilization.
  • Monitors and actions financial performance and utilization of equipment fleet through monthly report review.
  • Coordinates local and cross-border (Canada/US) equipment logistics and prepares customs documentation.
  • Performs administrative functions relating to gathering and analyzing quotes, researching specifications and performing calculations in support of acquisitions.
  • Issues purchase order numbers.
  • Assists in the development of the equipment asset budget.
  • Reviews new fleet acquisition and disposal authorization through formal processes of Authorization for Expenditures/Authorization for Disposals (AFEs/AFDs).
  • Leads analysis and identifies industry trends.
  • Facilitates vendor account setup.
  • Participates and leads the annual rate review by analyzing and interpreting trends, life cycles, market rates, and historical data related to the annual rate calculations.
  • Ensures that equipment complies with government regulations and HSE requirements.
  • Develops and maintains strong, customer-focused relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
