Join our dynamic Semiconductor EPI Manufacturing Team as a Sr. Equipment Engineer and contribute to the development and optimization of our semiconductor manufacturing processes. Serve as the tool owner, ensuring familiarity with all aspects of the equipment, software, and facilities to operate, maintain, and make critical decisions to meet factory Operational Availability goals. Independently design, develop, modify, and evaluate standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to direct projects or several small projects with complex features or detailed phases of larger projects. Analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results. Lead Safety 8D events, perform equipment root cause analysis (RC, CA/PA, OCAP), and testing activities to meet project requirements and implement preventative solutions to prevent re-occurrence. Plan, implement, and manage compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Train less experienced staff members to improve equipment operational availability (Uptime). Adapt and take on any other duties as assigned by the management team. Maintain, develop, and optimize equipment for the epitaxial growth of semiconductor materials. Analyze and interpret data to identify areas for Uptime improvement, yield enhancement, and cost reduction. Collaborate with process engineering and production teams to introduce improvement ideas into production. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for equipment-related issues to minimize downtime and improve mean time before failure. Design and execute equipment improvements to optimize performance for cost, quality and productivity improvements. Monitor and analyze equipment performance metrics, such as TPM, Uptime, Preventative Maintenance, Mean Time Before Failure, Failure Rate, and defects to identify areas for improvement. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Provide technical expertise and guidance to less experienced technicians in troubleshooting and resolving equipment-related issues. Develop and maintain equipment documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training materials. Plan and direct initiatives that improve the performance of the Fab and company.
