Under the supervision of the Wildlife and Lands Program Manager and direction of the Nutria Eradication Program Manager, the incumbent will serve as the Lead Operations Supervisor for the Nutria Eradication Program and the Central Region, supervising implementation of the nutria eradication efforts within the southern portion of the nutria infestation. Duties include hiring, training, developing, providing technical guidance to, and supervising Environmental Scientists, Fish and Wildlife Technicians, and Scientific Aides to conduct nutria surveys, data collection, trapping, dispatching, necropsies, and other associated tasks in accordance with project protocols and the overall nutria eradication strategy. The Operations Supervisor will operate in close coordination with the Bay-Delta Region's Nutria Eradication Operations Supervisor, the project Planning Specialist, and field crew leads to ensure effective and cohesive implementation of the eradication strategy, and is responsible for communicating operational needs to the Nutria Eradication Program Manager and GIS Analyst.
