The purpose of this role is to support the management of Zebra's Environmental Health and Safety Strategies. The Senior Environmental Health and Safety Specialist is responsible for the technical work in a wide range of EHS disciplines to achieve compliance with the organization’s federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. This role also assists in implementing and standardizing Environmental, Health and Safety programs across all sites globally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a safety role/environment including demonstrated and current knowledge of Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

  • Measures and reports EHS performance, operational resource efficiency, greenhouse gas emissions, hazardous waste, energy consumption, and safety information for the NALA region to NALA regional lead.
  • Participates in the investigation of accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards or conditions in the workplace and its associated operations.
  • Coordinates with contracted services including contractors, suppliers & subcontractors.
  • Assesses environmental and workplace conditions, incident reports, and recommends improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment that are identified as deficient.
  • Helps create and design EHS training, ensure it is delivered, and monitors training compliance.
  • Supports the completion of corrective actions.
  • Anticipates, analyses, monitors, and prevents EHS hazards that could be present in the work area.
  • Investigates accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards or conditions in the workplace and its associated operations.
  • Participates and aides in the preparation of Internal and External Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Audits.
