About The Position

The Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Regional Manager at Microsoft is responsible for driving the prevention of incidents and illnesses in datacenter operations through the implementation of safety protocols, emergency response planning, and high-risk activity management processes. This role focuses on ensuring a safe and healthy working environment by identifying risks, implementing controls, and monitoring compliance with Microsoft standards and regulations. The position is integral to the Global EHS Team and supports the delivery of core infrastructure for Microsoft's cloud services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
  • 4+ years experience in Environmental Worldwide Regulations, Sustainability, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Internationally recognized safety and health certifications.
  • 3+ years people management experience.
  • Master's Degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
  • 6+ years Environmental Health and Safety Worldwide Regulations experience or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for the implementation of EHS programs for specific Microsoft Datacenters within the region.
  • Manage and support a team of EHS managers within the region.
  • Accountable for EHS performance metrics and implementation of annual improvement plans.
  • Periodically inspect, audit, and review safe work practices to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct workplace risk/exposure assessments for various classes of hazards.
  • Support incident investigations and root cause analysis to identify and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Embody Microsoft's culture and values.
