We are currently seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer 1 to work in a technical support role assisting our Seattle and Pacific Northwest remediation projects and clients with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time position located in our Seattle, WA office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • 6+ years of related environmental field and consulting experience in the Pacific northwest.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including verbally communicating and presenting project information.
  • Desire to learn and grow in your profession, demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, resourcefulness, flexibility, and ownership.
  • Skilled in the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS software.
  • Experience with soil, groundwater, and air treatment technologies.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory framework that is pertinent to the work.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Have WA professional registration PE – or can get it within 12 months of hire.
  • Design, construction, and operation, maintenance, and monitoring experience with environmental remediation projects.
  • Association with professional organizations in field of specialty.
  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and refresher updates.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and/or review written communications and technical deliverables.
  • Demonstrate and apply technical competence, knowledge of codes and regulations, and professional standard of practice to assigned tasks.
  • Leverage understanding of technical scopes of work for assigned work and their alignment with overall project objectives to deliver quality assignments.
  • Coach, mentor, and direct junior staff to ensure high-quality execution of project tasks, including field activities and preparation of technical reports and deliverables, while facilitating knowledge transfer for team development.
  • Use developing skills to be visible in your discipline by giving internal technical presentations and/or conference presentations and attending external networking events.
  • Lead field programs, construction, and remedial system operation, maintenance, and monitoring tasks.
  • Lead environmental data and technical evaluation and reporting tasks.
  • Lead remedial action development, feasibility studies, cost estimating and permitting tasks.
  • Plan and perform all work in accordance with company and client health and safety protocols.
  • Demonstrate the company’s foundational safety behaviors.
