About The Position

Our client is a leading energy company seeking an experienced Senior IT Systems Administrator with 11-15 years of expertise in hybrid cloud environments, enterprise directory services, and virtualized infrastructure. This role requires a technical professional who can manage complex systems across on-premises and cloud platforms while maintaining high availability and security standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
11-15 years of hands-on experience in systems administration
Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022)
Extensive experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP
Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Strong virtualization experience with VMware vSphere or equivalent
Experience with PowerShell, Python, or other automation scripting
Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions
Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, and firewalls

Nice To Haves

Relevant certifications preferred (MCSE, VCP, AWS/Azure certifications)

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain hybrid cloud infrastructure spanning on-premises and cloud platforms
Manage enterprise directory services including Active Directory, LDAP, and identity management systems
Oversee virtualized infrastructure using VMware, Hyper-V, or similar technologies
Monitor system performance, capacity planning, and optimization across enterprise environments
Lead system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure modernization projects
Implement and maintain security policies, patch management, and compliance standards
Provide tier 3 support for complex technical issues and system outages
Mentor junior administrators and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Document system configurations, procedures, and maintain technical architecture diagrams
