This role will be hybrid in LinkedIn's Mountain View, CA campus. Team Description: We are looking for an Senior Enterprise Engineer to join our Enterprise Infrastructure Engineering team. Our infrastructure empowers every developer, operator and employee by making it effortless to access, build and operate workloads they need to do their jobs and enhance productivity. We create frictionless secure and AI-first environments where automation is the default, compliance is built-in and resources are optimized for performance, cost and sustainability. In this role, you will be leading a team of engineers to develop and manage products, services that help manage and scale our enterprise infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or related practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Enterprise Engineering/Infrastructure, DevOps, or Data Center Enterprise Technologies
  • 3+ years experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.
  • 3+ years programming experience in object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Java, Javascript, C/C++
  • Experience developing distributed systems, large scale purpose driven systems, databases and/or backend APIs.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot global DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (DDI) platforms in a distributed, global environment.
  • Lead automation initiatives to eliminate manual operational tasks, focusing on self-service tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration-as-code solutions.
  • Develop Python or C# based automation tools, REST APIs, and monitoring/health-check frameworks to optimize service delivery.
  • You are responsible for owning and managing DNS, DNS security measures, engineering advanced DNS concepts
  • You will design integration capabilities of DNS, DHCP and IPAM systems
  • You are responsible for performing regular audits of DDI stack
  • Design and implement pipelines and indexes for data aggregation and analysis
  • Develop and enforce policies and foresee DRBCP implementations of our infrastructure.
  • Mentor junior team members and collaborate with global stakeholders on engineering, automation, and remediation projects.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including processes, procedures, project requirements, and architectural designs.
  • Participate in the team’s on-call support rotation to ensure 24/7 service reliability.

  • The pay range for this role is $106,000 to $175,000.
  • Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location.
  • This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
  • The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
