About The Position

Under the direction of the Senior Enterprise Data Governance Manager, the Senior Data & AI Governance Analyst supports the execution of DFW’s Data & AI Governance Program within the broader Data360 initiative. This position plays a pivotal role in operationalizing governance frameworks, maintaining consistency across governance functions (data quality, metadata management, data cataloging, AI, and literacy), and ensuring that governance processes, standards, and documentation of data assets are clearly defined, traceable, and integrated into enterprise systems for transparency and reuse.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Five (6) or more years of experience in data governance programs.
  • Demonstrated exposure to AI governance or documentation of analytical models, data assets, or risk frameworks.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
  • Proven expertise in enterprise data governance, including metadata management, data quality, master data management (MDM), and data integration.
  • AI governance concepts such as model registration, transparency, lifecycle management, and responsible AI practices.
  • Manage concurrent projects, track milestones, and adapt to evolving enterprise priorities.
  • Hands-on experience with Informatica Governance Suite, including Informatica CDGC (metadata management & data cataloging), data quality tools (Informatica, Snowflake), analytics/reporting tools (Tableau), or similar tools.
  • Experience with scripting and analytical tools, including SQL (Snowflake), Python for data validation, transformation, and governance automation.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders including Data Engineering, Analytics, IT Security, Legal, and Communications.
  • Translate complex data governance concepts into accessible, actionable guidance for business users.
  • Ability to bridge the technical and business gap, effectively translating technical requirements into business needs and vice versa to ensure alignment between governance initiatives and enterprise goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree, graduate level study in a relevant field such as data management, analytics, business intelligence or related discipline.
  • Experience contributing to knowledge centers or enterprise data literacy programs.
  • Certification(s) such as DAMA CDMP, Informatica Professional, DCAM Practitioner, or Responsible AI Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Execute enterprise governance initiatives across data quality, metadata management, cataloging, AI governance, and literacy, ensuring activities align with established frameworks and enterprise objectives.
  • Manages tracking of governance deliverables, adoption progress, and maturity metrics to support roadmap execution and enterprise data and AI maturity goals.
  • Develops and maintains governance policies, standards, operating procedures, and process maps in coordination with governance, security, legal and analytics teams.
  • Partners with HR and Communications to design and deliver training materials, onboarding guides, and knowledge center content that promote consistent understanding of the Data and AI program roles, processes, and tools.
  • Creates clear and engaging communication material that increases Data and AI literacy across departments by preparing summaries, visuals, and presentations for workgroup updates and stakeholder briefings.
  • Validates and updates governance artifacts to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with evolving enterprise standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve documentation consistency, automate reporting, and strengthen cross-functional collaboration.
  • Supports the execution of AI governance frameworks by maintaining process documentation, templates, checklists, and lifecycle artifacts that enable consistent governance application across AI and generative AI use cases.
  • Coordinates the preparation, organization, and maintenance of governance evidence, training materials, and review documentation to support responsible AI practices, internal reviews, and audit readiness.
  • Facilitates governance forums, councils, and working groups by coordinating agendas, tracking decisions, documenting outcomes, and monitoring follow-through across data and AI initiatives.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
