About The Position

The senior enterprise architect proactively and holistically leads business stakeholders, product managers, product owners and distributed product delivery teams through transformation and optimization initiatives, supporting the formulation of business and technology strategy, outcomes and capabilities. This role has assigned domains of accountability that spans support of the Lead to Opportunity, Quote to Contract, Order to Cash, and Issue to Resolution processes. These are inclusive of the following capabilities: Marketing, (including Digital Marketing), Lead & Opportunity Management, Configure, Price & Quote, and Order Management (Retail Operations) which includes areas such as Scheduling, Job Management, After Sales Service, etc.. This role is also responsible for a solid Data & Integrations strategy through all domains. This position will initially be focused on Salesforce architecture of a major program deployment to affiliate and company owned retail operations and will be part of an enterprise-wide Enterprise Architecture team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of ten or more years of experience in developing business strategy, leading transformations, overseeing operations planning and business analysis.
  • A minimum of ten or more years of experience in at least three disciplines, such as business, information, solution or technical architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, infrastructure or operations in a multi-tier environment.
  • Understanding security controls is critical.
  • Deep understanding of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting and risk management.
  • Effective leadership skills with exceptional soft and interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
  • Senior leader-level consulting skills such as targeted communications, engagement management, stakeholder management and business development
  • Excellent analytical, planning and organizational skills.
  • Organizationally savvy, with situational and contextual intelligence of the political climate of the enterprise and how to navigate obstacles and politics.
  • A trusted advisor to senior leaders of the company.
  • Understands and speaks the language of the business.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Lead and facilitate interaction with business leaders, product managers and product owners.
  • Cultivate a community of architects to drive transformation.
  • Orchestrate the delivery of business outcomes.
  • Lead and consult on the formulation, translation and execution of business strategy through technology.
  • Work with business architects and leaders to identify key drivers to enable business strategy.
  • Develop diagnostic and action-oriented artifacts to guide investment and execution.
  • Facilitate innovation.
  • Assess disruptive forces, market trends, emerging technologies to identify technology opportunities that enable business strategy.
  • Provide practical advice to take advantage of emerging opportunities to achieve business outcomes.
  • Detail competitive threats.
  • Guide the process to track and apply portfolio of innovating technologies through assessments, pilots, proof-of-concepts and benchmarking.
  • Curate and manage the technology portfolio.
  • Lead the evaluation of the business capability and technology portfolio, reporting on its alignment with business strategies and health.
  • Develop reference architecture patterns, principles, and guardrails through an EA governance model.
  • Facilitate collaborative relationships across the architecture community, product management and product delivery teams in adhering to architecture.
