About The Position

The City of Hutchinson is now hiring for a Senior Engineering Specialist. This position involves performing tasks related to construction projects, including serving as the lead engineering field representative, conducting surveying and field staking, drafting and designing, and tracking and implementing project work related to environmental and regulatory requirements. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Associate degree in engineering technology or related field.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Maintain state certifications for inspection services including bituminous street, grading and base, concrete field, bridge inspection, MnDOT testing certification, and erosion control certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead engineering field representative for construction projects.
• Perform tasks related to surveying and field staking.
• Draft and design engineering plans and documents.
• Track and implement project work related to environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
