About The Position

The Clutch and Brake Division of Regal Rexnord (RRX) is looking for an Senior Engineering Project Leader to guide product development projects (including new product development (NPD), Research & Development (R&D) and Value Add Value Engineering (VAVE) projects) from inception through to completion. In this role the individual will lead multiple projects that encompass the entire Clutch and Brake product offering.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial preferred).
  • 7+ years’ experience managing product development projects including budgets and resources.
  • Highly developed planning and organizational skills required.
  • Direct experience with a stage gate project management process.
  • Experience with business process development, working within sales organizations/ sales operations / commercial operations, Kaizen planning and event facilitation is preferred.
  • Experience in or working with multiple disciplines (e.g. front end commercial, product management, application engineering, design engineering, manufacturing engineering, supply chain, quality, and/or production) is preferred.
  • Experience working with multiple projects in multiple locations – including comfortability working within MS Teams and leading efforts remotely is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and use the CFI (Customer Focused Innovation) Process to prepare detailed project plans, action plans, estimates, schedules, and forecasts as well as communicate project status.
  • Learn and practice the Rexnord Business System (RBS) as they relate to your daily responsibilities then lead by example across your cross-functional project team(s).
  • Learn and embrace the RRX Stretch Culture and challenge yourself and team members to think differently and approach work in a different manner to achieve greater results.
  • Recognize when problems, technical or otherwise, are developing (or before they occur) that threaten the budget or schedule and take corrective actions to mitigate the problem(s).
  • Use Visual Management to track status, compliance to schedule, responsibility, budget, risks and issues on each project.
  • Clearly identify the project scope and tasks and communicate with all parties.
  • Control project scope and when evaluating potential scope changes engage leadership with a decision ready proposal including impact to budget, resources and schedule.
  • Understand and balance project constraints.
  • Operate within multiple levels of the organization frequently representing the project team at project meetings and executive report outs, identifying action items then following up to assign ownership.
  • Use, suggest, and teach decision/validation tools such as VOC, FMEA, DOE, DVP&R and PPAP.
  • Ability to apply core project management principles to commercial revenue growth initiatives.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required, approximately 15%.
