About The Position

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Senior Engineering Program Manager to lead early phase programs that grow and advance our commercial gas turbine engine portfolio. You will shape future integrated propulsion systems, elevate legacy products, and guide technology development that enables next generation aircraft solutions. In this role, you will partner closely with Engineering, Product Definition, Advanced Technology, Marketing, Sales, and executive leadership to align technology, customer needs, and business strategy. You will engage with customers, influence product roadmaps, and ensure our propulsion offerings remain competitive in an evolving market and regulatory landscape. This position is part of the Engines & Power Systems Engineering organization, based in Phoenix, Arizona, and operates on a hybrid schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in propulsion systems, gas turbines, aircraft integration, or complex aerospace systems.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership in cross ‑ functional, multi ‑ site environments.
  • Experience leading early ‑ phase product and conceptual design, proposal development, or customer-facing engineering activities.
  • Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth & Product Direction Drive Engineering efforts to identify and secure new business opportunities, delivering customer value and developing innovative solutions leveraging our legacy products.
  • Shape growth strategies to expand our commercial business and advance propulsion products to the next echelon of performance and capability.
  • Align product roadmaps with customer needs, emerging technologies and market trends.
  • Customer & Executive Engagement Present strategies, concepts, and business cases to executive leadership.
  • Serve as the primary Engineering interface with OEMs, leading technical discussions and proposals.
  • Cross ‑ Functional Integration Integrate across Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Sales to create customer-focused solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Ensure propulsion activities align with broader aircraft systems (Avionics, ECS, Electrical Power, APUs).
  • Early Phase Program Leadership Define scope, cost estimates, schedules, and resource needs for early phase propulsion programs.
  • Establish credible program baselines and ensure execution aligned with customer and business priorities.
