About The Position

Altruist is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to join our Lending team. In this role, you'll lead a team and partner closely with cross-functional leaders to deliver a brand new product from the ground up!

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working as Software Engineering Manager within a high performing Engineering organization
  • 8+ years of experience in software development and delivery owning a highly visible and large technical scope and an in-depth knowledge of software architectures
  • Experience in building and managing large scale software applications in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Ideally looking for a B.A. / B.S. degree in relevant fields such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • You’re technologically savvy and can easily get up to speed on modern tech stacks (we use Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, Postgres, Kafka, Kubernetes)

  • Collaborate with product management and design teams to understand business needs, growth objectives, and market dynamics
  • Create a culture of innovation and technical excellence, encouraging experimentation and exploring new opportunities for company growth
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, automation, tools, and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and quality
  • Provide strong leadership to the engineering team, enabling a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Set clear goals, expectations, and performance metrics for the engineering teams, holding individuals accountable for their deliverables
