About The Position

As a Senior Engineering Manager for Engineering Digital Thread, you’ll be part of our Engineering Applications – Transformation & Operations team working as a hybrid employee. You will be responsible for coordinating with all functions of the business in defining, architecting, planning, deploying and communicating a strategy for a Connected Enterprise through PLM and ERP. You will work collaboratively across Tools & Outdoor with the PLM Operations team, leaders and stakeholders from across Engineering, Manufacturing, IT, Procurement, Program Management and other functions to deliver product management solutions that ensure the success of our transformation. You are a strategic thinker that has a robust knowledge of Manufacturing processes and systems like ERP, MES, MMS with a strong foundation in Systems Engineering and Product Lifecycle Management. You will work collaboratively across functions and organizations with the ability to build teams. You are a business problem solver with the ability to execute tactically as a member of the team. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience defining & driving strategies and change in technical based organizations
  • 10+ years of demonstrated relevant experience spanning engineering IT systems management
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in leading direct and indirect teams as well as influencing organizations through vision and execution
  • Robust understanding of Product Lifecycle Management processes, BOMs management, PLM-ERP integrations and Master Data Management
  • Strong foundation in data systems and architecture, and in Connected Enterprise systems
  • Experience in driving complex, global strategic initiatives deploying enterprise-wide business applications supporting engineering disciplines
  • Ability to work effectively in a global matrixed remotely managed organization, and steer a multi-cultural, cross-functional global team of contributors towards a common goal
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to define complex data environments and associated detailed roadmaps to support product related investments.
  • Experience leading and collaborating with global, cross-functional, multi-cultural teams
  • Successfully managing, prioritizing, and assessing the impact of all activities
  • Working familiarity with Enterprise application lifecycle management, cloud and on-premise infrastructure, data warehousing concepts and tools, cybersecurity protocols with XaaS applications, and legal / commercial protocols such as NDAs, MSAs etc., to be able to collaborate effectively with IT functions.

  • Previous experience working through complex business and process analyses balancing between rigor and pragmatism, to enable decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Define a roadmap for a Connected Enterprise, with particular emphasis on PLM-ERP integrations across global plants
  • Coordinate between manufacturing plant leadership, PLM Operations team, IT support and other functions, engineering leadership and stakeholders in the Business Units, and 3rd party product and service providers to align with ongoing initiatives and priorities
  • Ensure continuing alignment between the executing teams and stakeholders
  • Manage scope, anticipate risks and develop mitigation plans
  • Drive robust communications across the organization
  • Prepare and present reports-out to Leadership on a regular cadence
  • Define and execute analyses related to PLM process design
  • Have indirect access to resources from different teams to support your charter such as PMO, Project Management, Finance, HR among others
  • Provide the human energy needed to keep the teams motivated and focused on the mission of the program.
