We are seeking an Engineering Data Automation Analyst to support an engineering operations team through data analytics, reporting, workflow automation, and process documentation. The role requires someone who can independently build reporting solutions, automate routine processes, enhance SharePoint functionality, and collaborate with engineers to manage and interpret technical datasets. The ideal candidate can translate engineering concepts into clear dashboards and reports, perform data cleanup and automation, and create lightweight application components using tools such as SharePoint, Power Automate, and Python. The position focuses on shaping raw engineering data into usable formats, developing reporting frameworks, and establishing repeatable processes that support informed decision making.

  • Enhance engineering operations through analytics, reporting, automation, and documentation
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and performance visuals in Power BI
  • Maintain SharePoint sites including forms, workflows, and documentation repositories
  • Build Power Automate flows to support engineering processes
  • Perform Python-based data cleanup, automation, and backend data access
  • Assist with project coordination and operational support activities
  • Create process documentation, SOPs, and workflow diagrams
  • Ensure compliance with internal records management and data governance policies
  • Experience as a Data Analyst, Reports Developer, or Business Systems Analyst
  • Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables, formulas, and preferably VBA or macros
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Experience maintaining and enhancing SharePoint sites
  • Experience documenting workflows and processes
  • Experience using Python for automation, data cleanup, or backend access
  • Experience with Power Automate
  • Experience with utility engineering datasets such as substation, transmission, or distribution data is preferred
  • Familiarity with regulatory environments such as NERC, ERCOT, FERC, or state utility commissions is preferred
