About The Position

As the Senior Engineering Asset Protection Strategic Projects Manager, lead strategic asset protection and security technology initiatives across distribution and order fulfillment centers. You will oversee the optimization of security processes, advise on new construction and remodel projects, and manage the AP capital and operating expense budgets. Serving as the primary Logistics liaison, you will collaborate with architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects adhere to code and meet deadlines. This position also entails designing solutions for operational issues, developing financial models to support asset protection requirements, and establishing controls standards for all DCs. You will ensure contract compliance, analyze operational plans for improvement opportunities, collaborate with the Asset Protection and facilities teams on compliance standards, conduct operations forecasting, and develop training programs to maintain asset protection effectiveness. This position will be based at one of our Distribution Centers in Perryman, Maryland; Las Vegas, Nevada; Salt Lake City, Utah; Olive Branch, Mississippi; or Avon, Indiana.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Exacq, Hanwha Wave, Brivio access control, NVR servers and systems, intrusion detection systems, biometric integration, and weapons detection technology.
  • Knowledge of capital expenditure (CapEx) and operating expense (OpEx) budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Ability to identify and analyze complex issues, develop strategic solutions, and implement effective action plans.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization, including senior management, vendors, and contractors.
  • MS Office Suite with strong MS Excel skills, MS Access, CAD and Visio.
  • Ability to travel: The job will require 30-40% travel to various Sephora DCs, site visits, vendor testing centers, and corporate headquarters.

Nice To Haves

  • 6 or more years of related job experience with key focus with implementing AP, risk assessment, and security-related control systems and protocols in a Logistics environment, emphasis on procurement and DC build-out.
  • Strong working knowledge of CCTV, Access Control and Intrusion hardware and software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic asset protection and security-related technology and installations with focus on Exacq for Windows, Hanwha Wave, rail cameras, Brivio access control, NVR servers and systems, Intrusion, biometric integration, and weapons detection.
  • Optimize current security processes within the distribution-order fulfillment centers through the development and implementation of improved enhancements and system controls updates.
  • Act as a key AP advisor for new construction and remodel projects, influencing design from a safety and asset protection perspective.
  • Serve as the primary Logistics liaison with architects, general contractors, and MEP vendors to ensure the construction of DCs and other projects adhere to code and meet deadlines.
  • Oversee and manage AP Capital Expenditures (CapEx) and Operating Expenses (OpEx) including real-time spend tracking, risk identification, and financial reporting.
  • Facilitate weekly project meetings with vendors, general contractors, IT and DC operations to ensure schedule and design is implemented according to plan.
  • Generate and maintain CAD drawings to ensure proper location of IT infrastructure, security camera systems, low voltage and electrical to support DC construction & retrofits.
  • Develop cost benefit analyses and financial models to support the Asset Protection requirements, designs, and alternative selections to existing hardware and processes.
  • Ensure asset protection and security-related contracts and agreements are working as expected and annual support audits are performed.
  • Analyze current operating plan to determine opportunities for improving the operations process and workflow.
  • Develop and facilitate training for implementation of new hardware, processes, services, and technology to maintain asset protection effectiveness.
