Primary Location: United States (US) - Illinois - Milan Function: Factory Engineering (CA) Title: Senior Engineering Analyst - 119314 Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position Your Responsibilities As a Senior Engineering Analyst for JD North American Parts Distribution Center located in Milan, IL, you will: Contribute to the development of, and implement feasibility testing of, proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the design Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards Carry out inspections under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and make recommendations to senior colleagues on the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the analysis of information and the specification of the methods and process steps, as well as the plant, machinery, and equipment, required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them Help others get the most out of knowledge management systems by offering support and advice Find the most effective ways to respond to routine functional inquiries. Involves following procedures and precedents Support others by carrying out a range of product development and engineering activities, such as analyzing client situations or interpreting data Resolve complex queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on policies and/or procedures, referring to the most complex issues to others VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position

Requirements

  • Knowledge of engineering principles, theory, and practice
  • Project management skills with an ability to move projects from conception through completion
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both engineers and skilled technicians
  • Curiosity, willingness to learn, and ability to follow structured test procedures
  • Basic data analysis skills and comfort working with technical software tools
  • Ability to travel up to 25% based on business needs
  • Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology field

Nice To Haves

  • 2 or more years of maintenance or facilities engineering experience
