Senior Engineer

About the position

Shipt, Inc. seeks a full-time Senior Engineer responsible for working with a cross-disciplinary team shipping real-world products to our customers around the nation. This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering and 4 years related experience developing web applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop web applications as part of a cross-disciplinary team.
• Create stand-alone applications for Banking and Financial Services using Java, Enterprise Java Bean 3.0, and Hibernate.
• Implement Restful services (JAX-RS) from scratch to share data between different servers.
• Improve application quality by identifying performance bottlenecks using XRebel and Dynatrace, and modifying Hibernate fetch techniques.
• Maintain code quality using code analyzer tools including SonarQube and PMD.
• Conduct unit tests using Mockito, Java, Junit, Hibernate, and Restful Services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
• 4 years of related experience developing web applications.
• 24 months of experience developing stand-alone applications for Banking and Financial Services using Java, Enterprise Java Bean 3.0, and Hibernate.
• 24 months of experience implementing Restful services (JAX-RS) from scratch.
• 24 months of experience improving application quality using XRebel and Dynatrace.
• 24 months of experience maintaining code quality using SonarQube and PMD.
• Experience with Mockito for unit tests, Java, Junit, Hibernate, and Restful Services.
