Join a team that’s naturally committed to the environment. Your Opportunity We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Environmental Services team in our Honolulu office. Your Key Responsibilities Responsible for ensuring adherence to project delivery processes. Oversee and manage the development of project scope and budget and oversight of project technical requirements. Uphold a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, encourages individual integrity, and focuses on the customer and service delivery. Ensure financial reports are prepared and submitted to the client as needed. Oversee the receipt of purchase orders and project set up. Develop project organization and staffing assignments. Review and approve billing reports before preparation of invoices. Ensure compliance with project plan and procedures. Function as designated contract liaison with client on project contract performance and delivery. Perform quality assurance function for work products before they are submitted to clients. Business Development Actively participate in the preparation of proposals and the development of fee estimates Sustain and develop business opportunities and maintain positive relationships with the client. Develop, and/or participate in development of proposals for environmental services on a project-by-project basis. Work with existing and expand Stantec’s client base in Hawaii. People Leader Actively coach and support the career development of staff and take personal responsibility for employee engagement, retention and recruitment. Attract, grow and retain high quality staff. Oversee project managers, geologists, engineers, and teams responsible for the development of technical fieldwork, reports and documents. Health and Safety Reinforce corporate quality and safety standards. Oversee the implementation of corporate quality and safety standards into the projects.

  • The candidate will have demonstrated leadership, communication, and people skills.
  • This should be demonstrated through previous experience in the management of large professional teams, preferably in an integrated design environment.
  • Extensive experience with working with public sector, city and county clients within federal/state/county/city regulatory jurisdictions.
  • Experience with California, Washington, Hawaii, Alaska
  • The candidate will maintain well-developed written communication skills in the preparation of technical reports, correspondence, and proposals.
  • Good driving record and valid driver’s license
  • Business development and proposal preparation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geologic, Engineering, or related Science
  • Minimum 15 years of engineering experience.
  • Master’s degree Preferred
  • Professional Registration Preferred
