Overview Trade Finance and Lending (TF&L) is a key business division with the Corporate Bank, serving global clients with innovative financial solutions. This team is undergoing a significant transformation, modernizing legacy platforms into cloud-compliant, event-driven architectures with reusable technology stacks to automate and enhance business processes. As a Senior Engineer you will leverage your technical expertise to enhance system performance and stability, while leading the development of innovative solutions. By collaborating with business stakeholders and engineering teams, you will solve complex problems and ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic goals.   • Design & develop high-quality solutions for risk management of lending products
  • Drive continuous improvement on process, tools and techniques
  • Solve complex problems and deliver effective, practical solutions
  • Support the day-to-day stability of the platforms you develop, prioritize and manage incidents
  • Automate delivery pipelines, so that systems are always ready to deploy
  • Seek ways to improve your application’s performance and code quality, ensuring architecture supports business requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • Extensive knowledge of Oracle PL/ Structured Query Language (SQL), Java, Spring
  • Exposure to front-end technologies such as JavaScript and test automation using Cucumber or similar
  • Experienced developer in complex, business-facing applications
  • Ability to deal with a monolithic application and help to develop a vision on how to decouple it gradually rather than rewriting the application from scratch
  • Solid understanding of the modern software development life cycle (SDLC) tool stack, including Bitbucket, Jira, Artifactory, TeamCity, and similar platforms
  • A commitment to quality applying practices such as test-driven development
  • Experience of using test containers, using shift-left DevOps
  • Pragmatic mindset driving quicker time to market and early user feedback
  • Promoting clean code principles to enable sustainable production solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
