About The Position
Trade Finance and Lending (TF&L) is a key business division with the Corporate Bank, serving global clients with innovative financial solutions. This team is undergoing a significant transformation, modernizing legacy platforms into cloud-compliant, event-driven architectures with reusable technology stacks to automate and enhance business processes. As a Senior Engineer you will leverage your technical expertise to enhance system performance and stability, while leading the development of innovative solutions. By collaborating with business stakeholders and engineering teams, you will solve complex problems and ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic goals. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive long-term transformation, transitioning from legacy PL/SQL to a modern tech stack, with a lasting impact on the team and business.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
- Extensive knowledge of Oracle PL/ Structured Query Language (SQL), Java, Spring
- Exposure to front-end technologies such as JavaScript and test automation using Cucumber or similar
- Experienced developer in complex, business-facing applications
- Ability to deal with a monolithic application and help to develop a vision on how to decouple it gradually rather than rewriting the application from scratch
- Solid understanding of the modern software development life cycle (SDLC) tool stack, including Bitbucket, Jira, Artifactory, TeamCity, and similar platforms

- Seek ways to improve your application’s performance and code quality, ensuring architecture supports business requirements
