As a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer you can be part of a dynamic team shaping the future of the communities we represent. This role offers the opportunity to lead and direct the design of water/wastewater/treatment/distribution/collection projects, manage project scope, schedule, and budgets, and provide technical direction to a team of design engineers and technical staff. You'll thrive in a collaborative environment working on innovative projects that make a lasting, positive impact on society. This position can be based in any Ohio office as a hybrid role collaborating with team members in other offices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering
  • 7+ years’ experience in water/ wastewater / treatment/ distribution/ collection planning, design, and construction administration as a lead design engineer or project manager
  • Current PE license in OH is required
  • Working with municipal and private clients
  • Understanding of state and Federal funding opportunities for projects
  • Experience in regulatory compliance requirements and permitting
  • Strong team leadership experience or proven potential; including managing project delivery expectations, prioritization of tasks, and mentoring
  • Excellent technical skills in the water/ wastewater / treatment/ distribution/ collection practice area

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct design of water/ wastewater / treatment/ distribution/ collection projects from the planning and design phases
  • Creating, managing and developing projects to meet desired scope, schedule and budgets
  • Prepare construction documents including plans and specifications
  • Prepare project cost estimates and schedules
  • Provide overall supervision and technical direction and expertise to team of design engineers and technical staff
  • Coordinate multi-disciplined engineering teams
  • Interact with and oversee the work of CAD staff
  • Interaction with regulatory agencies
  • Support or lead preparation and development of proposals and strategic client pursuits
  • Client management and development
