About The Position

This position leads, projects newly installing the machine vision systems in electrode process and develops vision software in-house. The structure, inspection algorithm and logic of vision software were developed, and current position needs to have ability understanding of the software, optimizing the algorithm and software logic. Job Purpose: Prevent quality issue in advance and maximize output (yield, OEE) through the establishment of inspection system, management of inspection equipment maintenance, improvement of inspection equipment performance, and the introduction of new equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or similar required
  • Driven by objectives/KPI’s; consistent; and high personal ownership to upholding accountability to established standards and practices
  • Ability to use Logical thinking and decision making by focusing on identifying root cause objectively using data, analyzing production results, and following proven problem-solving methods
  • Knowledge of Mechanical/technical curiosity and mindset
  • Commitment and desire to learn our complex battery manufacturing processes with the goal of becoming a go-to resource for technical problem-solving discussions
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • MS Office tool-based report writing and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well with individuals and teams across the company to achieve team goals and targets
  • Good computer, Troubleshooting, Problem-solving, Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment a requirement
  • Communication ability to discuss with engineers in LG-Ensol in South Korea
  • Passion for work and respect for the other person

Nice To Haves

  • Machine Vision Engineering in a manufacturing or automotive engineering environment through an internship, co-op, entry level job role, or similar is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Compliance with health/safety/environmental/fire regulations
  • Inspection machine PM management (inspection machine maintenance/performance management)
  • Inspector equipment improvement activities
  • Improving/managing inspection machine accuracy and detection power
  • Establishment of inspection information management system
  • Expansion of equipment and dissemination/application of new technologies for inspection
  • Review/plan of Inspection machine Model development and Model change
  • Developing Technician skill improvement plan and implementing
  • Establishment and management of inspection machine standards (design, installation, operation)
  • Establishment and revision of PFD, BM/PM/PD Manual (BM/PD Measures Guide) PFD: Process Flow Diagram
  • Developing Competency
  • Reducing Overkilled NGs & Assuring for Quality by improving Inspection Performance (Undetected Real NGs, NG Leakage)
  • Performing other duties assigned by the superior
