About The Position

Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for multiple information systems, tools, or processes, providing expertise, guidance, and standardization for LifePoint and acquired entities. Essential Responsibilities SME Responsibilities: Provide expertise and standardization across infrastructure systems, tools, and processes. Infrastructure Design & Optimization: Build, design, and optimize systems to support HITS strategic objectives; seek efficiencies through automation and new product recommendations. Workflow Development: Create methodology and processes to support infrastructure systems. Issue Resolution: Triage, document, and act as Level 3 escalation for technical issues from ticket management system. Vendor Management: Serve as primary point of contact for strategic technology vendors; ensure accountability and alignment with business objectives. Risk Evaluation: Assess risks associated with assigned systems and provide guidance to leadership. Migration Strategy: Execute and advise on migration strategies to future technical architecture. Configuration Specifications: Define system configurations based on application, business, and technical requirements. Root Cause Analysis: Utilize problem management techniques to analyze failures and implement corrective actions. Performance Monitoring: Measure application, OS, and hardware performance on cloud resources; recommend improvements. Testing & Selection: Participate in testing and selection of new systems and infrastructure projects. Business Support: Assist with procurement, budgeting, and forecasting for assigned systems. Documentation: Communicate and document operating system, infrastructure, and middleware issues. Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned. Additional Information Serves internal and external stakeholders (co-workers, clients, patients, vendors). Handles sensitive and confidential information. Requires understanding of healthcare regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA) and application of policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in healthcare IT infrastructure (multi-facility environment).
  • Familiarity with Cloud Security Operations (1–2 years).
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools, practices, and scripting (1–2 years).
  • Intermediate programming, relational databases, operating systems.
  • Ability to convey complex information and interact with management.
  • Handle varied and complex business problems using analysis and interpretation.
  • Manage multiple projects, delegate tasks, and allocate resources.
