Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering License.
  • 10-15 years of substation design related experience.
  • Comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge and demonstrated excellence in substation/control engineering principles.
  • Considerable knowledge of economic analysis methods, budgeting procedures, and company policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of utility engineering practices and procedures, construction methods, and material specifications.
  • Typically requires 10 years engineering experience including 5 years at the Eng. II level.

  • Professional registration within 24 months of job award.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, coordinate, and review the work of a staff of engineers, technicians, and designers.
  • Solve unusual problems with a high level of independent decision-making.
  • Assign and review work of other department staff.
