About The Position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Acts as a mentor to engineers, specialists, and technicians. 2. Serve as a technical expert in the design and application of SEL equipment and solutions in a focus areas. 3. Researches, innovates, and develops new solutions and\or processes. 4. Review\approve\complete scopes, budgets, and schedules for assigned work at the highest level of quality. 5. Project Manage\develop processes\lead in training and assist customers with the creation, design, configuration, validation, review, installation, commissioning, and operation of engineered solutions. 6. Responsible for environmental, health and safety leadership, maintaining a safe workplace, safety awareness and training, accident investigations and reporting, and implementing safe and environmentally sound work practices. 7. Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. 8. Understand. Create. Simplify. 9. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or an applicable discipline.
  • 12+ years working knowledge and experience of electric power systems or other equivalent transferable knowledge and industry experience.
  • Expert knowledge in area of focus.
  • Excellent technical training and skills.
  • Willingness to travel a minimum of 25% of the time.
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL.
  • Negative drug test result(s).

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience
  • Electrical utility, consulting, or system integrator experience
  • Extensive experience with power systems and customers
  • Working knowledge of Vision or other PM Tracking Software
  • Professional Engineer license
