What YOU will do Design, develop, integrate and test communications systems for aircraft routers that support multiple ways of connecting the aircraft to the ground and the airlines, which includes enhancing customized Linux OS ecosystem and maintaining ownership over areas such as build toolchain, kernel, root filesystem, bootloader, device drivers, and BSP for a wide variety of hardware boards. As part of the Airborne Information Solutions group, work alongside FPGA, hardware, systems and software teams in order to seamlessly embed advanced technology into wide array of communications product portfolio. Conduct design, development, integration, implementation, and testing of our embedded software in C++, C, Ada and Python on Linux OS for our connectivity products. Contribute to the design, coding, testing, delivery and ongoing support for embedded Linux software and drivers. Prepare software builds for execution in a simulation environment, reference platforms and on the target hardware. Prepare embedded test solutions that support hardware qualification activities. Utilize and integrate third party and open-source content, following applicable company processes. Participate in formal run for score and software release activities. Participate in root cause investigations for complex issues seen internally and by the customer.
