The Royal Caribbean Group’s Information Technology Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Engineer, Site Reliability reporting to the Senior Manager, Site Reliability. The position is onsite and based in Miramar, Florida. The position is also not eligible for work authorization sponsorship. Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure, automation, and systems that support the development, deployment, and reliability of our software applications.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, including senior-level responsibilities.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with GitHub for version control, branching strategies, workflows, and repository management.
  • Strong proficiency in Terraform for IaC.
  • Expertise with GitHub Actions and Argo CD for CI/CD.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Deep experience working with Kubernetes (Cloud and On‑premises); OpenShift experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Ansible for configuration management.
  • Strong understanding of monitoring and logging platforms such as Splunk and AppDynamics.
  • Familiarity with security best practices, DevSecOps principles, and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Generative AI experience is preferred (integrating AI workflows, automation, or AI-driven tooling).

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Automation: Design, build, and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or CloudFormation to streamline provisioning and configuration of cloud and on‑prem resources.
  • CI/CD Engineering: Create, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and deployment tools such as Argo CD to automate build, test, security scanning, and release workflows.
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Deploy, scale, and operate workloads on Kubernetes (Cloud and On‑prem). Experience with OpenShift is a strong plus.
  • Observability & Monitoring: Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using Splunk, AppDynamics, and related tools to proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve issues.
  • Security & Compliance: Apply DevSecOps best practices, ensure adherence to security standards, and implement automated security controls and compliance guardrails.
  • Collaboration & Enablement: Work closely with Engineering, Operations, QA, and Security teams to streamline development workflows and promote DevOps best practices.
  • Mentorship: Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers to foster team growth.
