About the position

Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability, System Safety, and Supportability.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze all Change Request Response (CRR) and ECPs for Logistics system impacts prior to approval.
  • Review all change documents for configuration impact on Patriot assemblies and subassemblies that are candidates for Upgrade and Return action.
  • Identify all required retrofits and input them into the automated R&R Configuration Control system database.
  • Provide management and technical oversight to the CRR/ECP Logistics program.
  • Review ECP documentation and identify the additions, changes and deletions for impacts.
  • Provide Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) costs for inclusion in the ECPs.
  • Perform Quality Control checks and verify that all changes are incorporated.
  • Actively participate in daily and weekly Configuration Control Board meetings.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with Patriot Product Line and associated Major End Items with a general understanding of Life Cycle Engineering.
  • Experience with reviewing and understanding Technical Data Packages including but not limited to general understanding of Product Data Management (PDM).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
