About The Position

The Senior Lead Engineer is critical member of our team; you will work with other teammates to solve critical issues, engineer architectural and service level requirements, and improve customer experience. This position requires extensive knowledge and work experience and viewed as the Subject Matter Expert to (SME) to their coworkers. The individual works with cross-functional teams with extensive experience in cloud service providers, trouble ticketing, engineering support, and vendor product coordination. You will play a central role in testing, configuration, cybersecurity, mobility, and network services in support of a government agency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering or related) at an accredited university, highly regarded
  • Eight (8) years' experience delivering IT projects to a large enterprise
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with Cloud infrastructure
  • Strong/Expert knowledge in Menlo Security – Secure Enterprise Browser
  • Strong/Expert knowledge in containers (Docker/LXC)
  • Strong knowledge of networking
  • Excellent monitoring and alerting experience, familiarity with Service Now preferred
  • Solid understanding of technology fundamentals enabling cloud – compute, storage, networking, and security
  • Knowledge of current cloud architecture, best practices, tools, and frameworks as well as emerging technologies, trends and processes
  • Ability to communicate about technology to a broad range of audiences, including customers, internal and external stakeholders across a full range of technical and non-technical backgrounds
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen with an active Department of Defense SECRET clearance
  • Must be DoD 8570 Level II Compliant (Security+).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud providers such as AWS or Google Cloud

Responsibilities

  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously; coordinating resources and ensuring the team is meeting scheduled goals
  • Ability to effectively interact with various levels of senior management, as necessary
  • Ability to make decisions and resolve problems effectively, seek out information to evaluate, prioritize, and formulate best solution or practice
  • Must be able to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, share workloads, and deal with sudden shifts in project priorities

  • You are a technical expert in cloud infrastructure
  • Provide support directly to internal stakeholders throughout the enterprise to enable highly available application solutions that leverage various cloud services
  • Provide technical support to internal stakeholders through the ability to analyze, troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems across multiple technical disciplines
  • Collaborate with cloud services team on Continuous Improvement, which will drive efficiencies for the managed services
  • Manage and own all customer migration and on-boarding projects
  • Assist with estimating work efforts required for each phase of a project
  • Identify and raise technical risks
  • Work with teams across the organization to troubleshoot cloud-related issues
  • Periodically work at customer site, attend meetings, provide deliverables, and support customer engineering requirements
