Position summary The Product Development Engineer in our Passive Exchange (PX) group supports various phases of passive thermal technologies (heat pipes, phase change materials, etc.), cold plates and associated systems, data center direct-to-chip cooling, and other projects ranging from concept generation and initial design to prototype hardware fabrication and volume production. The types of projects vary from modifications of existing designs to “blank sheet of paper” development programs and advanced performance testing. At any given time, the Product Development Engineer is responsible for the success of multiple projects, providing the opportunity to work on all aspects of the product development cycle. Product Development Engineers work on a multi-disciplinary team including engineers and technicians to effectively develop complex systems. Candidates that have a strong technical background with experience in design for manufacturability of complex components/systems excel at this position. Requirements

  • Must be a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15? (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) due to ITAR restrictions
  • B.S. or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Basic understanding of process systems
  • Proficiency in using commercial CAD (Solidworks) and FEA (Solidworks) tools, along with heat transfer system design tools
  • 8+ years' experience in a technical-oriented company
  • 3-5 years hands-on experience designing heat transfer equipment, with a strong preference for experience in supporting programs from concept generation to a test-validated prototype
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
